2. Scope of Services

DLS provides logistics consultancy, multimodal freight coordination, supply chain management, and related advisory services. All information presented on this website is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute a legally binding offer. Binding obligations arise only upon written agreement, confirmed transport order, or other formally accepted service instruction.

3. Quotations and Proposals

All quotations and proposals issued by DLS:
  • Are based solely on the information provided by the client;
  • Are subject to revision if cargo details differ from declared specifications;
May be adjusted in the event of changes in fuel costs, carrier tariffs, port charges, customs duties, regulatory requirements, or other external cost factors. Unless otherwise specified, quotations are valid for a limited period as stated in the offer.

4. Client Responsibilities

The client is solely responsible for:
  • Providing accurate and complete cargo dimensions, weight, and classification;
  • Declaring hazardous, controlled, or special cargo;
  • Ensuring cargo is properly packaged and suitable for international transport;
Supplying all necessary documentation required for customs clearance, export control, or regulatory compliance. DLS shall not be liable for delays, penalties, storage costs, or additional expenses arising from inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information provided by the client.

5. Liability

Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, DLS acts as a logistics coordinator, freight forwarder, or intermediary. Where liability applies, it shall be strictly limited in accordance with applicable international conventions and governing law, including but not limited to:
  • CMR Convention (road transport)
  • Hague-Visby Rules (sea transport)
  • Montreal Convention (air transport)
  • Other applicable international transport frameworks
Under no circumstances shall DLS be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of profit, business interruption, or loss of opportunity.

7. Delays and Force Majeure

DLS shall not be held responsible for delays or disruptions caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:
  • Port congestion
  • Customs inspections or regulatory interventions
  • Carrier operational disruptions
  • Weather conditions
  • Political events
  • Strikes or labor disputes
  • Force majeure events

8. Regulatory Compliance

Certain shipments may require export licenses, certificates, or other regulatory approvals. Unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing, the client remains responsible for compliance with applicable export control laws and trade regulations.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including but not limited to text, images, branding elements, logos, and project descriptions, is the intellectual property of Direct Logistic Solutions SIA. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or use of website content without prior written consent is prohibited.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Latvia. Any disputes arising from or related to services provided by DLS shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Latvia, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

11. Amendments

DLS reserves the right to amend or update these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. The latest version shall be published on this website and shall take effect upon publication.

6. Cargo Insurance

Unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing, shipments arranged by DLS are subject only to standard carrier liability regimes as defined by the applicable international transport conventions. Compensation for loss or damage is strictly limited to the liability thresholds established under the relevant convention. DLS does not automatically provide all-risk or full-value cargo insurance coverage. If extended, full-value, or all-risk cargo insurance is required, it must be explicitly requested by the client and confirmed in writing prior to shipment execution. In the absence of such written confirmation, only standard convention-based liability shall apply.
